Another wonderful Sunday doing absolutely NOTHING. No creating today, just a day to veg in front fo the TV. Will watching too many 'Bridzillas' make me...crazy...or some kind of Zilla??? I think Jerry Springer must produce these shows. This has been a really productive week and I'm just about ready to start adding my jewelry to my Etsy site. Woops, another hour of Bridzilla is about to start...gotta go...=)

Where has the time gone???

Here it is, January 11, 2011, and I'm finally getting around to my blog. To say that the last year has been busy, is an understatement.
My sister & I started and ended a stamp company, Shirleys2Girls. First we were into the clear stamps, but when we realized that working with them, left little time for other creative, we went to digital.
Then as 2010 was nearing a close, our father died, and we started looking at life a little differently. With our past 6 years of care-taking at an end...what did we want to do??? She is going full tilt on her illustrations, deidremosher.com and is working at getting them licensed...she already has 3 companies. AND...although I love to paint, my college jewelry classes (oh, so long ago)...started calling. I guess I just like to do too many creative things. But, this is the year I plan to really see what keeps my interest, and become more focused...good luck, I know.

So, for the past 2 months, I have been creating bracelets, earrings and necklaces...and plan to take a Precious Metal Class, because the ideas for focal pieces...are making my head hurt.
I will be opening an Etsy store...and blogging more and of course, creating. I hope you will stop back by to see what I'm up to and visit my store... etsy.com/shop/krinlox I should have several items listed by the end of the week.

This is what I have spent the last 2 days of captivity doing! My collage of guess what? Sunflowers...ahhhh, me and Van Gogh...but at least it has me seeing life in Color, since outside the studiio window it is all WHITE!

A little french sunflower...

Hello Fellow Bloggers...

For those of you with lots of snow, like us here in the NW...thought a nice sunflower would warm you up. HOW DO you that live in the mid-west or east do all the snow and cold? My boots are off to you...you hardy people!!

In January of 2007, I decided that I wanted to start painting, I have been a crafter, jewelry maker, collager (is that a word?), sculpter and really wanted to paint. So...my love of sunflowers led me to paint about 14 pieces from 2"x2" to 40"x40"...and then I ran out of room in the house to hang them. I'm in the process of making them into greeting cards...

Being snowed in for the last 6 days, I have been in the studio working on a collage...of sunflowers naturally...they are my 'haystacks'...but unlike van Gogh, I will not cut off my ear, no matter what.

COOKIE MADNESS !

My sister and I have been on a baking binge for days! We were going to have a 'cookie exchange'...but it won't stop SNOWING...so now all we can do is pass by the GREAT treats we baked and do another taste test...please I beg of you, send HELP! We must be stopped...

anyway, today finds me in my studio, working on a new collage...lots of red, lots of papers, lots of glue...the point is I am having fun, and isn't that the point of all of this?

This is me doing a very important 'taste' test.
