I just had to re-do my header...can you say...spell-check???

Would you believe I never mis-spelled a word in school...
and either everyone has been being very nice...or they didn't
see that I mis-spelled...possibility...must just
be one of those words that at a glance...
can't be anything else.

I really can't believe that I have a blog,
an etsy shop, a facebook page...
and that I follow lots of other blogs...

If you had told me all this even a year ago~
I would have said, no way...
isn't progress...fun?

There are times, however, that I would like to go back and only get
my news from the newspaper,
my mail from the mailman,
and pictures in a letter.

Everything is so...INSTANT...now, and we all get
ticked off if our computers don't download or upload
at the speed of sound...and when our computers
crash...well, that may be the end of the world as
we know it...at least until it's fixed.
Yes, Progress, fun!

Back to my PMC!

Woohoo...this is so exciting!

I'm really excited about the latest piece of PMC
that I'm working on...as you can see from the pic...
it's a sunflower...in the leather hard stage...
now I have to figure out a way to fire it,
so the petals don't droop.
The finished pic will come soon...

I'm so proud of this piece...
I don't think I will be able to sell it...
I've always had a giant love for Sunflowers...
that's one of my many sunflower paintings that the PMC is sitting on.

What do you think??? I think I'm on to more flowers and the sky's the
limit...whee!

Tax Prep Day---UGH!

I know I've put it off long enough...
so today was dedicated to getting our tax stuff together...
There must be a simpler was to live...

I'm opting for an island...

but I hope it has internet access...
and maybe a movie theater...
and UPS...ice cream would be nice...

I'm going to do it...

PINK SATURDAY

come up with...to push myself and the clay...

Nesting

I'm really proud of this piece...
my first cut and paste, so to speak,
using Precious Metal clay...
fun to use texture...
I'm going to do it again,
but use wire for the nest...what do you think???

Today I'm working on polymer clay models...
so I can work out the bugs...before I
commit them to silver...
not only does the clay stink when it cooks,
but it doesn't seem to want to harden...
in for the second time...we'll see...
it's always somethin'!!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY TO YOU ALL...

Yesterday, I thought I was so clever
to get my pink post ready early...
I worked hard at putting together a pink page
and set it up
to insert just after midnight,
but somehow...the computer nymph ate it...
SO....I'm gonna put two up...
I love the Breast Cancer Awareness Earrings...

and this is our wonderful daphne bush,
that battled high winds,
monsoon rains, and freezing temps
to bloom & bloom & bloom...
I wish I could share the smell as well as the pink...
it 'stinks' so pretty...
and it's right by the front door.

Last weekend, I went to
cindy lew's blog (go check her out)
because I feel in love with
her pink VW and house...and what do you know...
we are sisters from different mothers...
we both love kitties and sunflowers...
small world...huh???

YELLOW!!!

I had to share this wonderful color...

it seems like this forsythia bush always blooms
when it's raining
and that we don't get to really enjoy all it's springy burst of color...
so I stood in the rain and made sure I took
full advantage of it's magnificent yellow this year!

It really is, almost Spring...where does the time go???

but a darned site better than Japan...please, if you would...
go to the RED CROSS and give what you can.
A very dear friend has her grandmother, aunts, uncles and
cousins, all from Sendai, and hasn't heard a thing from them
since the quake...so prayer are great appreciated.

Snow Day!

This is the extent of the snow we got last week,
when the weatherman said we would have
maybe a foot of the white stuff
and have a heck of a morning commute.
Fortunate for me, my commute is about 20 steps
from my front door to my studio...but I stayed in my
jammies all day,
just in case the snow really did show up.

Even snow and 18 degree weather
could not stop this wonderful Daphne bush...
what a wonderful aroma we will have in a week or two.

A Wee Bit O' Green

How the heck did I wake up to March 2011 already??
The last major thing I remember worrying about was what Y2K
was gonna do to our computers.
Wow, I really can't believe we are already 10+ years into the 21st century. Remember when...the days went by so slowly and it was like forever...
for it to get to Christmas, your birthday, vacation????
Those were the good old days...or were they? I don't think I would go back.
I like being able to do what I want, when I want.
