Pink Saturday...
a salute to the Royal Wedding...

Yes, we watched the Royal Wedding and this has to be my favorite hat...OMG...the hats, hats, hats...everywhere you looked. Thought I'd see what I'd look like in this pink ribboned bonnet...what do you think??? Should I go for it???




I wanted to share the true harbinger of spring at our house...the beautiful Trillium...we have lots of volunteer plants in our front yard, that we left very...woodsy...and...au naturel...They are just now turning a beautiful shade of PINK!!!

PMC Fun!!!

I've been working on Zodiac designs and here is my first one. I did the first one of Cancer, for sissy, since I'm such a good sister. =) She's not too crazy about the name Cancer, and prefers to be called a Moon Child. So maybe I'll create a tiny moon to hang from the next one. They will all have a crystal or bead of the signs colors and a word that describes the sign.

Even though I've been sick...I've been busy...and this Bachelor Button flower is 16 very small pieces that took me nearly a week to finish..it kinda looks like a Scottish Thistle too...I just love it.


Next, I created a delicate tapestry pear...and it's hanging from an even more delicate chain...I'm from pear country, (southern Oregon), so this seemed like a natural.


WOOHOO...I'm in my element and having a ball...

PINK ELEPHANT!!!

Just got back from seeing "Water for Elephants" ! What
a wonderful movie...they stayed true to the book and I was so taken with the elephant 'Rosie', in the movie...that I had to celebrate her with a PINK elephant picture.
What fantastic creatures...look at those lucky little birds...free elephant rides any time they want them..

Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all of you...may you get all the chocolate bunnies you want...(or need), if you gave up chocolate for Lent like I did.

Heart Song

Just finished another precious metal piece...the silver jump rings that are piercing the holes move when you wear it...kind of interactive...

It's been a heck of a week and a half...first my husband gets a cold (for 2 weeks)...then shares it with me, and now my sister (studio mate) is coming down with it too. This is a doozy of a cold...cough, stuffed head, sore throat...runny nose...and just generally yucky feeling...I know TMI...but I just felt I had to share...I never get sick...so this got me big time.

Spent the whole day working on Sissy's website and I'm feeling... stresssssed...I wanted to feel calm...so I decided a painting of Tuscany that I painted a couple years ago...might due the trick.

Now...all I want to do is...travel...ahhhh, the Italian countryside...

I am so ready for sun...that I just had to share one of my many many sunflower paintings. From Jan-July 2007
I painted nothing but sunflowers...from 4" to 3' . I'm getting the itch to paint more...it's great doing silver
flowers, but nothing beats having paint all over you.

I wish I could claim to have made these...but I found them when I was looking for a pink picture to put on my FB page...in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. My kitchen skills either have the parchment paper catching fire, or adding baking soda instead of baking powder...hence...my sweet husband does the cooking....(and shopping)... I AM going to make some great cake pops next week for Easter...just how hard can it be to bake a cake...mush it up with icing...make it into a ball and dip it in chocolate??? A bit of France...to adorn your neck!!!

I'm been busy this week...and I've only had 4 days! Here's another precious metal silver piece. I designed a whole bunch of stamps, so I could do original pieces. I've always loved Fleur de Lis...France is one of my favorite places...
This is the first of what I'm sure...will be many pieces using a Fleur de Lis. I left the patina very dark in the background, to give it a more aged look...and then adorned it with some purple swarovski crystals...to see more pics of this and other pieces I have created...head on over to my Etsy site...

Flower Power

Another piece of Precious Metal Clay...I love to paint flowers, so I thought...let's see if I can make one in PMC...and voila...here she is...Deidre likes it so much...she's wearing it to lunch. Isn't it wonderful to have a sister who wants to promote your art???

Well...here it is Friday again, not sure where the weeks go...but it's movie night, and I think we just have to go see Russell Brand, in Arthur...that ought to be a lot of laughs!!!

Birds Take Flight!

The latest creation from Studio Krinlox...I just love this little bird with his swirly pattern. I'm working on more flowers and a larger bird.. Wow...I've got a lot of freckles...since I can't see that part of me...I never really noticed. lol Hope everyone is having a wonderful "Hump Day"... we're still having rain and maybe even snow later this week... well, after all...it is Apriluary!
